Uma Mohan Devotional Songs. Uma Mohan was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India into a family of musicians, she was trained from her childhood by her mother and Guru P. L. Saraswathy Ram in South Indian classical music. She learned several compositions of her great-great grandfather Mahathma Sri Neelakanta Sivan – an enlightened Saint from Padmanabhapuram, Kerala.
